God wants us whole in our health and finances as we grow in our souls or our minds, wills, and emotions. Wholeness gives us peace. It means that there is nothing missing or broken. We may be believing for a financial miracle, but God desires to take care of financial troubles once and for all! Proverbs 8:12 says, “I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.” As we spend more time with God, we learn of His wisdom and learn Kingdom of God principles. Many times, when we are asking God to bless us financially, He will give us a God idea. He will show us holes in the market place, and He expects us to fill them! In the Old Testament, God blessed a widow who was in dire need of a financial miracle. She even told the Prophet Elisha that the creditors were going to sell her sons into slavery! Elisa told her to borrow many vessels and put oil in them. When the widow woman obeyed, He told her to pay her debts and for her and her sons to live off the rest (II Kings 4:1-7).

Another way that God blesses us is that He to blesses the work of our hands (Deuteronomy 28:12). Genesis 39:2 says And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man. God is with us to, and He blesses the work of our hands. He causes us to prosper. A major way that God blesses us is through our employer or business. Proverbs 10:4 says, “He becometh poor that deals with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.” Proverbs 12:24 says that the hand of the diligent rules.

Not only does God bless us with witty inventions and work, He also blesses what we have in our houses. In II Kings 4:2, The Prophet Elisha asked the widow woman what she had in her house. She said she had nothing but a pot of oil. Elisha used the only thing the widow had in her house. He instructed her to borrow vessels from her neighbor and fill the vessels with oil. He turned her dire need into an oil making business! God may ask of you what you have in your house. What do you already possess that you can sell to increase your cash flow? What major purchase can you postpone so you can pay cash instead of getting further into debt?

Whatever our needs are, God promises to answer them when we go to Him in prayer. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally…and it shall be given him.” God’s instructions will often cause us to step out in faith. We have to believe in what we cannot see with our natural eyes. We have to believe God through the eye or lenses of faith!
